Rachel & Seth's Wedding

Quite possibly one of the most simply divine and simply elegant weddings we have done! Rachel and Seth are born and raised Arizonians with strong ties to the community. At ASU, they caught each other's eye while involved in sports. Rachel a volleyball player and Seth involved in baseball, they developed a friendship and relationship off their respective playing fields. Eventually they were engaged and then the fun began! A wedding at Brophy Chapel where three generations of Rachel's family have been married was a romantic and sentimental choice for the couple. Rachel walked down the aisle to "Canon in D" wearing a strapless dress from Destiny's Bride and vibrant purple ballet slippers. The attendants were close friends and Seth's two brothers as well as Rachel's brother and sister.

After the wedding, guests headed over to The Phoenix Art Museum for food, fun and festivities. The guests cocktailed in the foyer among some of the finest art in Phoenix. Santa Barbara Catering and Artenders provided the food and drinks for the event. As a surprise to the Bride and Groom, Victoria partnered with the Mother of the Bride, Beth, to create some art of their own. Through a fun website Victoria created images of the couple that resembled different pieces of art, a nice nod to the venue.

Rachel and Seth really wanted to maximize the talents of the Melissa Jill Photography team. As you will see, it is a wonderful balance of fun and playful with an updated traditional feel. Melissa must have felt like a kid in a candy store... shooting in an art museum and an architecturally breathtaking and historic chapel. It was a wonderful flip of the coin.  It does help when you have a beautiful and handsome pair! I must say that it was fun running around the museum. See for yourself!

The reception was set in a way that complimented vs. competed with the surroundings at the museum. Rachel loves tulips and they were soft and charming. The more modern sheen to the soft silver on the tables was popped with a purple napkin and a beautiful menu from Celebrations in Paper. After a wonderful dinner guests danced the night away amidst the art. A wonderful start to a couple whose lives will surely be painted with memories of this night for years to come.
