POSH PINK at DBG Charlie and Kent are one of those couples that when you meet them you just knew that they work. Charlie, the Bride, is a no nonsense, quick witted stylish girl. You know... the girl that always has the cutest shoes in the room? That is Charlie. She has a definite vibe of modern women with a bit of a throwback to the vintage style. Kent a groom that was not afraid to say... I LIKE pink! He is laid back but was very opinionated in a 'pick your battles' kind of way. We helped them create a fun, elegant, vintage modern wedding at Brophy Chapel. The amazing and talented Jennifer Bowen Photography captured their images. Video was shot by Stacy and her team from My Wedding Film. My Wedding Film was able to capture those moments that can go by in a blink of an eye- and you do NOT get those moments back. After the traditional Catholic Ceremony- The guests were greeted at Boppart Courtyard with Signature Drinks and delectable food from Santa Barbara Catering. Guests grabbed their seating cards from vintage inspired structures created by Victoria Canada and her team just for this event. Victoria even called in a favor from her dear old dad in Texas for some vintage doorknobs for the structure! Charlie added her personal touch by hand-stamping the cards. After cocktails, guests entered the room to the beautiful color palette of a soft rose and a matte gold. The Flower Studio created stunning arrangements that really captured the romantic feel of the night. Ray the DJ helped to create a fun night of dancing. After the bulk of the toasts were done- Santa Barbara set up a coffee bar on the back Kitchell Patio. Bright Event Gallery supplied fabulous floating candles, candy and other items for the event. It was a great tucked away little area for guests to go to enjoy the night.
Things we loved...
- Kent's pink socks.
- The men's pink ties in all varying patterns
- Utilizing Charlie's Mom's EXTENSIVE and lovely collection of
depression glass for candy on each table
- Charlie's Mom creating one of a kind table numbers out of silk
dupioni and other fabrics
- The vintage inspired wedding for a modern couple in a venue that
many people would assume it would not work.
- Not using a dance floor and keeping the beautiful concrete floor bare.
- The Sliders that were served at the cocktail hour- no kidding-
guests were stalking the sliders server. |
